Family Values

Families

God intends the family to be a place of refuge and security, standing strong under pressures. It should be a place where members can grow to maturity, sharing good things and fun! There are many examples of this in the Bible – for example,

Psalm 128.

?)What can we do to strengthen our families?

?)What will help them to develop as God intended?

Read Deuteronomy 6:4-9

If we put God first in our lives, other things will fall into place. Studying the Bible, both alone and together, is very important. It is a foundation stone for the family. Read 1 Corinthians 13 to understand the type of love which we should have in our families.

?)Do we have this love in our own families?

Read Ephesians 5:21-6:4 and then Colossians 3:18-21 to learn about our responsibilities as family members.

?)What are these responsibilities? Do we really put them into practice?

As husbands, are we loving and not harsh to our wives? Do we love them as much as ourselves?

?)As wives, are we ‘companions’ to our husbands, supporting them in their role?

?)Children are a blessing from God. Do we see them as a blessing, or do we think instead of the problems they bring? Do we encourage them or always criticise them?

?)Do we respect and obey our parents? As they become old, do we look after them?

?) Do we look at the problems of their old age rather than the wisdom that it brings?

?) How does your family life compare with these truths in the Bible? What could you do to improve things?

Finally, enjoy your family! They are a blessing!

परिवारको मूल्य र मान्यताहरू

परिवारहरू

परिवार एउटा सुरक्षित र शरणस्थान भएको र चापमा पनि बलियो भएर खडा रहन सक्ने परमेश्वर चाहनुहुन्छ। यो यस्तो ठाउँ हुनुपर्छ जहाँ सदस्यहरू असल कुराहरूको बाँडचूँड गर्दै र रमाहटमा परिपक्वतातर्फ बढ्छन्।यसका धेरै उदाहरणहरू बाइबलमा पाउन सकिन्छ। उदाहरणको लागि भजन १२८।

(?) हाम्रो परिवारलाई बलियो बनाउन हामीले के गर्न सक्छौं?

(?) परमेश्वरले चाहनुभए जस्तै बनाउन उनीहरूलाई केले सहायता पुर्‍याउँछ?

व्यवस्था ६:४-९ पढ्नुहोस्।

 
यदि हामीले परमेश्वरलाई प्रथम स्थानमा राख्छौं भने, अरू सबै कुरा स्वत: ठीक ठाउँमा आउँछ। एक्लै र सँगै मिलेर बाइबल अध्ययन गर्नु एकदम महत्त्वपूर्ण छ। यो परिवारको लागि जगको ढुङ्गा हो।

हाम्रो परिवारमा कस्तो प्रकारको प्रेम हुनुपर्छ भन्ने कुरा बुझ्नको लागि १कोरिन्थी १३ अध्याय पढ्नुहोस्।

एफिसी ५:२१-६:४ र कलस्सी ३:१८-२१ पढ्नुहोस्।

 
परिवारका सदस्यहरूको रूपमा हाम्रो उत्तरदायित्त्वहरूको बारेमा हामीले यहाँबाट सिक्न सक्छौं। यी उत्तरदायित्त्व के के हुन् ? के हामीले यिनीहरूलाई व्यवहारिकतामा ल्याइराखेका छौं?

?) पतिको रूपमा के हामी आफ्नी पत्‍नी प्रति कठोर नभएर प्रेमिलो भएका छौं ? के हामीले उनीहरूलाई आफैलाई जति प्रेम गर्छौं ?

(?) पत्‍नीको रूपमा, के हामी हाम्रा पतिको मित्र भएकाछौं, उनीहरूको काममा सहायता पुर्‍याएका छौं ?

(?) केटाकेटी परमेश्रबाट पाएको आशिष् हो। के हामीले उनीहरूलाई आशिषको रुपमा लिएका छौं । के हामीले उनीहरूलाई आशिष‌‌को रूपमा देख्छौं कि उनीहरूबाट आउने समस्याको बारेमा विचार गर्छौं? के हामी उनीहरूलाई सधैँ उत्साह दिन्छौं कि दोष लगाईरहन्छौं ?

(?) के हामी आफ्ना बुवा-आमाको आदर गर्छौं र आज्ञाकारी हुन्छौं उनीहरू बूढाबूढी भएपछि के हामीले उनीहरूलाई वास्ता गर्छौं ?

(?) उनीहरूको बूढेसकालले ल्याउने समस्यालाई हेर्छौं कि त्यसले ल्याउने ज्ञानका कुराहरूलाई हेर्छौं ?

(?) बाइबलका यी सत्यहरूसँग तपाईंको पारिवारिक जीवनको तुलना कस्तो रहन्छ अवस्थाहरूलाई सुधार्न के गर्न सकिएला ?

अन्तमा, तपाईंको परिवारमा आनन्दित हुनुहोस् ! ती तपाईंको निम्ति आशिष् हुन्।
