Trees and difficult time
Read Deuteronomy 20:19-20
?What commands are given here about the use of trees during war?
In war the rules of life change. People can forget to love in the same way. Theenvironment suffers too.In those days, trees were cut down to use in attacking enemy cities. God could not stop that, as wars sometimes become unavoidable. Instead he tried to limit the damage caused by war. So fruit trees were not to be cut down. Why? Because it was not in their future interests. No fruit trees means no fruit, less food and hungry people. Here is plain teaching that we have no right to destroy trees and forests without a real need.
?)Can you think of mistakes made in your local area, which have resulted in less food or worse health?

रुखहरु र सङ्कष्टको समय

युद्धमा जीवनको नियम परिवर्तन हुन्छ। मानिसहरुले उही प्रकारले प्रेम गर्न विर्सन सक्छन्। वातावरण पनि सङ्कष्टमा पर्छ। ती दिनहरुमा शत्रुका शहरहरुमा आक्रमण गर्न रुखहरु ढालिने गर्थ्यो। कति पटक युद्धहरु रोकिन नसक्ने हुँदा परमेश्वरले यसलाई रोक्न सक्नुभएन। बरु त्यसको सट्टामा उहाँले युद्धबाट हुने हानिलाई सिमित पार्न प्रयास गर्नुभयो। त्यसकारण फलफूलका रुखहरु काट्न मनाही थियो। किन ? किनकि यो उनीहरुको भविष्यको रुचिमा थिएन। फलफूलको रुख नहुने भनेको भविष्यमा फलफूल नहुनु हो, खानेकुरा घट्नु हो र भोका मानिसहरु बढ्नु हो। वास्तविक खाँचो नभएसम्म रुखहरु नाश गर्नु र जङ्गल फाँड्नु हाम्रो कुनै अधिकार छैन भनेर यहाँ सरल शिक्षा दिइएकोछ।
