Water as a symbol of blessing
In the Bible, water is used as a symbol to show several different aspects of God’s power. It can be used as a symbol of cleansing, as in the ceremonial washings of the Old Testament sacrificial system (for example: Exodus 30:18-21). It can be used as a symbol of destruction, as with flooding (Genesis 6-9:17). But the most common symbol of water is as a symbol of blessing.
One of the many passages in the Bible which uses water to symbolise blessing is Isaiah 35. Much of the book of Isaiah concerns Isaiah’s prophecies of God’s judgement on the sins of the people. But this chapter looks ahead to God’s glorious promises to those who trust him.

The highway is God’s path for us – the path which leads to eternal life. Remember that Isaiah wrote this prophecy hundreds of years before the coming of Christ.

Pray that as the desert brought forth streams and springs of water because of God’s presence, we also will be filled with the joy of believing and trusting in God.

पानी र सरसफाई
आशिषको सङ्केतको रुपमा पानी
बाइबलमा परमेश्वरको शक्तिको विभिन्न पक्षलाई प्रदर्शन गर्न पानीलाई सङ्केतको रुपमा प्रयोग गरिएको छ। यो शुद्ध पार्ने सङ्केतको रुपमा प्रयोग गर्न सकिन्छ, जस्तै पुरानो करारको बलिदानको काममा रीतिपूर्वक धुने काम (उदाहरण : प्रस्थान ३०:१८-२१)। यसलाई विनाशको सङ्केतको रुपमा प्रयोग गर्न सकिन्छ, जस्तै : जल प्रलय (उत्पत्ति ६:९-१७) तर पानीको प्रयोग हुने सबैभन्दा साधारण सङ्केत आशिषको सङ्केत हो।

मूल बाटो हाम्रो निम्ति परमेश्वरको बाटो हो- त्यो बाटो जसले अनन्त जीवन तर्फ लैजान्छ। याद राख्नुहोस् ख्रीष्ट आउनुभन्दा सयौं वर्ष अगाडि यशैयाले यो अगमवाणी लेखेका हुन्।
(?) परमेश्वरमा भरोसा राख्नुको आनन्दका संकेतहरू तपाईंको जीवनमा के के हुन् ?
उजाड स्थानले परमेश्वरको उपस्थितिको कारण पानीका मूलहरू फुटाए जस्तै हामी पनि परमेश्वरमा भरोसा गरेको र विश्वास गरेको कारण आनन्दले भरिनेछौं भनेर प्रार्थना गर्नुहोस्।
