Investing our lives wisely
We can do three things with our lives. We can waste them, we can spend them or we can invest them. The Bible teaches us to invest our lives to make a difference for eternity. We will be held accountable by God for how we invest our lives.
Read Matthew 25:14-30
?)Discuss who the man, the servant and the property represent in this parable. Do the servants have any influence over what is given to them?
Everything we have belongs to God. We are allowed to borrow things for a number of years. We brought nothing into this world and we are taking nothing out of this world when we leave. We are here to manage and use God’s resources.
?)What talents has God given each one of us?
?)Discuss how many talents or gifts you can think of. People are given different talents, but no-one is without any talents.
?)How are we using the talents God has given us?
?)Why is it wrong to bury what God has given us? What would make us do this?
If we use our gifts and talents to serve other people, those gifts and talents will start to grow. God encourages us to step out in faith in this. If we use our talents wisely, we will be rewarded.
?)How can we use our talents or gifts more?
?)What did God say to these stewards? What was the reward?
?)What were the reasons one steward gave for not using his talent in verses 24-30?
?)How much did he respect his master?
Fear often keeps people from using their talents. Remember that God likes to use imperfect people. A $100 note,however dirty or torn, is still worth $100. In God’s eyes we never lose our value!
?)How can we deal with fears that stop us serving God?
?)What motivates our own desire to serve God?
Discuss verse 29 which is a very challenging verse.
?)Have we observed this in our own lives or in the lives of others?
Let us be encouraged to invest our talents wisely. We need to take what little we have and start using it in serving other people. Then we may see God multiply our talents too!

हाम्रो जीवन बुद्धिमानी पूर्वक बिताउने
हामीले हाम्रो जीवनलाई तीनवटा तरिकाहरूमा चलाउन सक्छौं। हामीले यसलाई खेर फाल्न सक्छौं, खर्च गर्न सक्छौं वा लगानी गर्न सक्छौं। अनन्तकोलागि फरक बनाउन हाम्रो जीवनलाई लगानी गर्नुपर्छ भनेर बाइबलले सिकाउँछ। हामीले हाम्रो जीवनलाई कसरी लगानी गर्छौं त्यस अनुसार हामी परमेश्वरको सामू जवाफदेही हुन्छौं।
मत्ती २५:१४-३० पढ्नुहोस्।
(?) यो दृष्टान्तमा, मालिक, नोकर र सम्पत्तिले कसको प्रतिनिधित्व गर्छ, छलफल गर्नुहोस्। नोकरहरूलाई दिइएको कुरामाथि उनीहरूको कुनै प्रभाव छ ?
हामीसँग भएका सबै कुराहरू परमेश्वरका हुन्। हामीले केही वर्षकोलागि कुराहरू सापटी लिन अनुमति पाएका हुन्छौं। हामीले यस संसारमा केही पनि ल्याएका छैनौं र यहाँबाट केही पनि लिएर जाँदैनौं। हामी त यहाँ परमेश्वरका स्रोतहरू प्रयोग गर्न र व्यवस्थापन गर्नलाई छौं।
(?) परमेश्वरले हामी हरेकलाई के सीप दिनुभएको छ ?
(?) तपाईंले विचार गर्न सक्नु हुने सीप वा वरदानहरूको बारेमा छलफल गर्नुहोस्। मानिसहरूलाई विभिन्न वरदानहरू दिइएकाछन्। तर कुनै मानिस पनि वरदान विहीन छैनन्।
(?) परमेश्वरले हामीलाई दिनुभएको वरदानलाई हामीले कसरी चलाइरहेका छौं ?
(?) परमेश्वरले हामीलाई दिनुभएको कुरा गाडेर राख्न किन गलत हुन्छ ? हामीलाई यस्तो केले गर्न लगाउँछ ?
यदि हामीले हाम्रा सीप र वरदानहरू अरू मानिसको सेवाको निम्ति प्रयोग गर्यौं भने, ती सीप र वरदानहरू बढ्न थाल्छन। यस कुरामा हामीले विश्वासको कदम चालेको परमेश्वरले चाहनुहुन्छ। यदि हामीले हाम्रा वरदानहरू बुद्धिमानी पूर्वक प्रयोग गर्यौं भने हामीले इनाम पाउनेछौं।
(?) हाम्रो सीप वा वरदानहरू अझ बढी कसरी प्रयोग गर्न सक्छौं ?
(?) यी भण्डारेहरूलाई परमेश्वरले के भन्नुभयो उनीहरूको इनाम के थियो ?

डरले मानिसलाई प्राय उनीहरूको सीप चलाउनबाट बञ्चित गर्दछ। याद राख्नुहोस् परमेश्वरलाई असिद्ध मानिसहरू प्रयोग गर्न मन पर्छ। रू १०० को नोट जति नै थोत्रो र पुरानो भए पनि त्यसको मूल्य रू १०० नै हुन्छ। परमेश्वरको दृष्टिमा हामीले हाम्रो मूल्य कहिल्यै गुमाउँदैनौं।
(?) परमेश्वरको सेवा गर्न रोक्ने डरको सामना हामीले कसरी गर्न सक्छौं ?

हामीले पाएको तोडालाई बुद्धिमानीपूर्वक लगानी गर्नलाई उत्साहित होऔं। हामीले हामीसँग भएका थोरै कुराबाट नै अरूको सेवा गर्न शुरू गरौं। त्यसपछि परमेश्वरले हाम्रो तोडा वृद्धि गरिदिनुभएको हामीले देख्नेछौं।
