Children At Risk Network Nepal (CarNetNepal) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization registered at District Administration Office (DAO) Lalitpur under the Act 2034 and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council. (DAO Regd. # 187/61/62 & SWC Aff. #18114). CarNetNepal is actively working for the holistic restoration of the children at risk through ‘Advocacy’, ‘Education’, ‘Women Empowerment’, ‘Sustainable Livelihood’ and ‘Disaster Response’ activities in Nepal. In this particular context, CarNetNepal is looking for dynamic and potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following position.
- Position: Project Officer (Full Time)
Job Location: Kispang, Nuwakot
Overall goal of Position: To implement the CarNetNepal Project in Kispang, Nuwakot
Duration: 12 months
Minimum qualification and experience required:
- Master/Bachelor’s Degree in social stream, rural development or any relevant field
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience of working in Child protection, Advocacy and GBV sector.
- Experience working with Community based groups and entities
- Knowledge of local government working procedures in relation with NGOs.
- Knowledge on GESI
- Preference will be given to Legal Background candidate
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Reporting skills. (English & Nepali)
- Have positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable children and family.
- Negotiation, community engagement and representation skills.
- Ability to remain calm and work under pressure.
- Excellent analytical/problem solving skills
- Strong capacity building and facilitation skills
- Willing to travel frequently to the project site and stay in the field if necessary.
- Passion to work for children at Risk
- Demonstrates cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina.
- Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members in a cross-cultural environment
- Ability to maintain performance expectations in psychologically stressful environments and physical hardship conditions with limited resources
- Excellent English & Nepali communication skills (oral and written)
- Good computer skill (MS – Words, Excel, email and internet)
- Have high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident and independent.
- Having a valid driving license
- Good negotiation skills and a good team player
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Salaries & benefit will be according to CarNetNepal Policy
