“O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth. Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.” (Ps 96: 1- 3)
A little girl appears singing how God has created an amazing world, a big crowd cheers up with an applause inside the St. Xavier school auditorium, here comes a Broken Vessel; a musical group from Catholic Church in Kathmandu.
Group of young teenagers from different Christian denominations constantly sang to the Lord more than three hours without any halt.
Who sings, prays twice – said Fr. Silas Bogati inaugurating the function.
Worship can be done through songs and music: this is especially best way for youngsters to walk in the light of our lord- said a team member.
Parishioners from Kathmandu valley who sponsored for the event witnessed their children growing in spiritualty, bearing fruits.
The main motive of the youth group have been to praise our God and proclaim the word of God through music.
When youth proclaimed the word of God through the songs they said that it boosted their faith.
A beginning of new journey of friendship, hope, enthusiasm above all, a journey of faith in Christ. The Catholic youth groups started a worship band named as Broken Vessels, based on “But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.” 2 Corinthians 4:7.
We work as a team following the vision of Christ, we planned this program in a way to outreach people of different faith; peculiarity of the program was people of different faith coming together to worship our savior Lord Jesus – said Anmol Pradhan, one of the team leaders of their band.
The program was composed of solo performance by Stuti Grace Dhakal, Anmol Pradhan, Dia Dewan, Monica Lama, Subeckchhya Bohara and Yaman Rai, simultaneously was flavored by wonderful choir.
Moreover the program was an inspiration to young hearts to believe in God and to abstain the materialistic world. It was a moment of joy and happy tears to everyone present there. A moment of applause which we still can hear in our heart and mind.
This isn’t an end but a NEW BEGINNING!
