Vacancy at KISC EQUIP
Kathmandu International Study Centre, (KISC) Lalitpur is hiring 2 full-time Education Facilitators for its teacher training programme called EQUIP.

Project location: Chaurjhari Municipality, Rukum West & Sundar Bazar + Beshisahar Municipality, Lamjung
Nature of Contract: Fixed term, Initial contract for a year
The Education Facilitator will be responsible:
- To support Mission, Vision and values of KISC
- To participate in all EQUIP’s training to get the overview of EQUIP’s work
- To assist Kathmandu based Team to assess the need of the partner schools
- To assist in follow up of training with the teachers, giving them feedback and motivate them to implement the training they receive from KISC EQUIP in coordination with the EQUIP Project Coordinator
- To be familiar with Nepali educational system, policies, practices, and development in Nepal
- To visit partner schools, keep records and report to Project Coordinator weekly
- To help the Head of EQUIP to track progress as required in line with KISC EQUIP logical framework
- To assist KISC EQUIP teacher Trainers in training delivery
- To manage petty cash and settlement of bills
- To provide practical helps to KISC EQUIP team during the project training, follow up and monitoring visits, they may include, arranging transportation, accommodation, training venue, making appointments with appropriate stakeholders, etc.
- To contribute stories/testimonials for KISC EQUIP newsletters
- To provide reports, pictures, testimonials for reporting purpose for both internal and external partners as requested by the Project Coordinator
- To maintain a good professional relationship and PR with the partner schools and local government authorities
- To facilitate students led activities in the partner schools
- Maintain regular communication with schools to ensure effective coordination and exchange of information.
- Keep up to date records of schools’ data, including important contact information, and maintain a record of local school holidays
- Provide support to project coordinators or trainers in the procurement of necessary supplies.
Required qualifications/qualities:
- Bachelor’s degree in education with at least 3 years teaching experiences
- Basic Photography and ICT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as able to use email and social media)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good command of written and spoken English, Nepali & local language
- Attention to details, Team player, proactive & flexible
- Ability to accept feedback gracefully
- Willingness to learn
Hours of Work: 10:00 AM to 5:00PM (Sunday to Thursday) and 10:00 am-3:00 pm on Friday (Total 40 hours a week) However, the applicant will need high level of flexibility in working hours especially during the training sessions and schools’ visit.
