The organisation is dedicated to working with poor communities, marginalised groups, vulnerable adults and children and women to overcome poverty and injustice. The organisation works alongside local communities to realise their plans for a better future.
We are looking for skilled and motivated Nepali citizens for the following positions who share our vision, mission and values.
- Post Title: Admin & Finance Officer Required No. 1
Location: Pokhara
Job Summary:
The Finance & Administration Officer will be responsible for all financial, administrative and human resources matters of Sagoal. The main financial responsibilities include preparation of budgets and financial reports, maintaining records for all transactions, preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports.
Administrative responsibilities include file management; correspondence drafting, funding program support, and ensuring supplies to the office are managed and maintained. Administrative duties also include developing and maintaining administrative systems and performing secretarial duties.
Required qualification, skills and abilities
- Bachelor in management or accounts
- 2 years relevant work experience
- Experience in accounting
- Good communication skills in both English and Nepali
- Budget setting, handling and financial management
- Good communication, co-ordination and relationship building skills
- Good in using Word, E-mail & PowerPoint)
- Emotionally mature
- Good negotiation and liaison skills, particularly with local authorities and government line ministries
- Post Title: Capacity Building Officer Required No. 1
Location: Pokhara (with frequent field visits)
Job Summary:
The Capacity Building Officer is responsible for ensuring that annual planned activities of the project/s assigned to him/her are carried out or implemented efficiently and effectively and desired outcomes of the project/s have been achieved. He/she is to encourage the community/partner in decision making and local resource mobilization through their participation. The post holder is responsible for mobilisation partners through community facilitators. He/she is responsible for the good coordination with collaborating partners e.g. community groups, I/NGOs or private sectors including government authorities in the working areas of the organisation.
Required qualification, ability and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years relevant work experience
- Proven community facilitation, networking, team building, organizational and communication skills
- Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
- Good negotiation and liaison skills, particularly with local authorities and government line ministries
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Nepali
- Report writing skill
- Programme planning & monitoring.
- Budget setting and financial management
- Proposal writing
- Ability to understand and interpret policies and rules
- Good at Word, Excel, Power-point & E-mail).
