A two and half year old toddler who had fallen into a 65-feet deep gorge of the Seti river near symmetry of Nayagaun, Kharbari, Pokhara has been rescued by a boy after 22 hours Wednesday. A 8 year old boy Kamal Nepali, from Tutunga was able to reach 65 feet down to get the girl.
Teams of locals, police and army personnel and professional rescuers from Nepal Canoeing Association in Kathmandu attempted to rescue the girl for nearly 20 hours after she fell inside the ravine. But even after 20 hours of repeated attempts, the rescuers weren't able to bring the child back up.
