written by ALFRED BASNETT , March 25, 2009 "On The Wings of Spring" On a warm spring day, the wings of spring Takes a hold as the humming birds starts Fluttering around the flowers in the garden. They are like a breathe of fresh air, As, I sit in my easy chair in front of the Window and watch them flutter to and fro. A vision of grace to behold, They remind me of the roses I have grown, Magnificent and unique in their own way. As, they flutter from flower to flower, They have a melody all their own. I felt special just knowing, I have just Had a glimpse into the wonderous Moment of the wings of spring. I will cherish this moment again and again. Oh! How incredible this moment is, For the humming birds looked like Little rainbows fluttering around, Hardly making a sound as they flew This way and that way. You could tell it was spring, For the humming birds had come out to play, And you could see the loving hand of the Lord On the wings of spring. It is a delight, to just sit and watch The humming birds in flight. You knew, a few surprises were in store, For as you look out the kitchen door, You thought you seen angels dancing around, For the fragrant of the spring flowers filled the air. You really cannot describe the scene, As butterflies was flying around, They did not make a sound, While the humming birds could not help But look at the beauty of the moment.
