More than 50,000 people have been displaced after the Saptakoshi river damaged dams in Western Kusaha region of Sunsari district on Monday. some 10,000  People  are still awaiting rescue in Shripur, Haripur and Kushwaha VDCs.

Most of the affected people are in a very bad-condition, are in desperate need of food, shelter and medicines. Some of them are taking shelter at local schools while others are awaiting relief in the highway.
