VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Salvation Mission (TSM) is inviting applications from qualified candidates to work as a Project Coordinator at the project field in Dhading – Thakre Rural Municipality ward 6, 7, 8 (Thakre), 9 and 10 (Kewalpur). The Project Coordinator of TSM has the responsibility of planning, implementing and monitoring the project ‘CP1159 Salvation Mission Recovery and Employment Development Program’ (SACRED).

The desired qualifications are:

  • Degree in appropriate subject, Masters in appropriate subject is preferable.
  • Previous experience at least 2 years in the community project management.
  • Previous experience in community disaster risk reduction.
  • Previous experience in community livelihoods.
  • Previous experience in household income generation/saving and loan schemes.
  • Empathy for the aims of The Salvation Mission.
  • Highly organized and with good communication skills and fluent in English.
  • Ability to get along with other colleagues with a team spirit.
  • Driving license holder (at least two wheeler).

 

Job Description of Project Coordinator:

  • Organize and facilitate activities as per the project plan; create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decision from meetings and activities; conduct monitoring and evaluation for CP1159
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met; including monthly reporting to Salvation Mission Project Staff and six monthly reports to supporting partners.
  • Organizing, attending and participation in stakeholder meetings.
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for CP1159.
  • Determining project changes, by informing TSA Mission Project Office and providing justification for the change sought.
  • Providing administrative support as needed.
  • Developing project strategies.
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
  • Manage CP1159 Community Mobilisers (2) to ensure they deliver their responsibilities
  • Facilitate community and CP1159 staff meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members.
