A three days, Youth Music Camp was organised by the Nepali Baptist Churches Fellowship (NBCF) under Zeme Naga Baptist Churches Council (ZBCC) from 21st to 24th July 2016 at Nepali Baptist Church, Jalukie Town, Peren District, Nagaland State (India). Every participant received tons of Blessings, attended by around 80-90 youths from the neighbouring churches. The Fellowship is constituted with the efforts of Nepali Baptist Churches of Jalukie Town, Peren District H/Q, Beisumpuikam, Punglwa, Ngwalwa, Jalukie B and New Jalukie. The Fellowship is at its 15th years of establishment with Evan Dhan Bahadur Chettri and Gopal Subba as President and Secretary, respectively.
The main resource person for the camp was Ord. Pr. Biru Gurung, Pastor of Geyzing Evangelical Baptist Church, West Sikkim. He attended the programme with his betterhalf, Ruth Gurung, daughters Sapna and Seyona and Priskila, who was the prime drummer of the camp. The Speaker equipped the youths with lots of Biblical Sessions, explaining the meaning and needs of true worship. The Sessions ended with many youngsters, shedding tears while praying and confessing all the wrong deeds done earlier. Mariam Lama, Tshering Dolma, Rebecca, Peren Youths, Punglwa Youths, Beisumpuikam Youths, Ngwalwa Youths, etc. thrilled the listeners with their melodious nos. Many dances were also presented by the little ones. The Theme of the Programme was, “As long as it is day, we must do the works of Him” (John 9:4).
This was the first of its kind of programme in the state of Nagaland, where a Nepali Speaker was invited from other state. Though the people here are weak in speaking and understanding Nepali, the believers, however are very proud to declare themselves as Gorkha Christians.
